In an ideal world, this page would have a proper payment button, the sort you click and the money simply arrives. I tried to set that up. For now, we are doing this the hands-on way: EcoCash and InnBucks for local transfers, and a couple of options for readers abroad. If you are in the diaspora, Remitly may let you send directly to my EcoCash wallet using a Visa card or another payment method it supports in your country. You can also check whether Remitly or Wise offers cash pickup to Zimbabwe through Mukuru. The available routes depend on where you are sending from, so please check the options shown in your app before you commit. I receive in Marondera, Zimbabwe.

Sending from outside Zimbabwe? Remitly to EcoCash: Remitly may allow you to send directly to my EcoCash mobile-money wallet using a Visa card or another supported payment method. Choose Zimbabwe and the EcoCash/mobile-money option if it appears in your app, then follow the instructions and verify the recipient before confirming.

Cash pickup: You can also check Remitly or Wise for a Zimbabwe transfer with cash pickup. I receive in Marondera, Zimbabwe. If the service offers Mukuru as a pickup partner and a suitable Marondera location, follow its instructions. I have not confirmed that Wise offers this route for every sending country, so check availability, fees, recipient requirements and pickup locations in the service before sending.
