A few ground rules.

We want strong writing, not writing that sounds like everyone else. Give readers a reason to keep going.

Have an argument

For opinion and analysis, make a clear claim and support it. Avoid generic commentary, recycled talking points and introductions that take forever to arrive.

Back it up

Check names, dates, quotations and statistics. Add links to relevant reporting, research, documents or primary sources. Clearly distinguish fact from opinion.

Send original work

Submit writing you created and have the right to share. Disclose substantial use of AI assistance where relevant. Do not submit plagiarised or fabricated material.

Expect an editorial review

Submission does not guarantee publication. We may edit for clarity, length, style and accuracy, and may contact you with questions before publication.
